PDP Stalwart Rejoices With Okowa on Victory At Supreme Court
Comrade Israel Amadi-Emina (Jnr), an Aspirant in the 2019 House of Assembly Election in Delta state who contested to represent Oshimli North constituency has felicitated with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa over his victory at the Supreme Court.
Speaking to newsmen in Asaba, the state capital, he noted that the unanimous verdict of the Supreme Court judges describing the Chief Ogboru suit as lacking in merit, wasting of the courts time and a mere academic exercise further reenforced the grassroots acceptance of the Smart governor by majority of voters in Delta State.
Speaking Comr. Israel said that “the Judiciary has again proved itself strong in the protection of democracy and the rule of law in Nigeria. I have never entertained any iota of doubt about today’s outcome because it was clear that Deltans voted overwhelmingly to re-elect the Governor”.
Governor Okowa is a man of the people and a peace-loving statesman.
“The decision of the supreme court will definitely go a long way to solidify the faith of the masses in the courts. I felicitate with the PDP family and Deltans at home and in the diaspora.”
Comr. Israel Amadi-Emina (jnr) thereafter urged the APC and Ogboru, to accept the verdict in good faith and join hands with the governor to move the state forward.
Also in the mood of the victory Comr. Israel Amadi-Emina (jnr) equally poured encomium on the Executive Governor of Delta State His Excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental strides in the state and urged all Deltans to support his administration, adding that better days are here with with Okowa in charge.
