Giadom: Tinubu has been retired from Politics – Fani-Kayode

Following the recognition of Chief Victor Giadom as the acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has said the APC national leader Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has been retired from politics by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fani-Kayode was reacting to the statement by presidential spokesman, Mallam Shehu Garba recognising the National Executive Meeting of the APC called by Victor Giadom and scheduled to hold on Thursday, June 25, 2020.

The former minister said the decision of the Court of Appeal to uphold the suspension of the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole was evident that Tinubu has lost his relevance in the political space in the nation.

He wrote on his Facebook wall, “First, Oshiomhole was kicked out by the Court of Appeal. Then his preferred replacement, Abiola Ajimobi, falls into a coma. Then his archrival, Giadom is recognised by Buhari as acting national chairman.

“Conclusion: It is over for Tinubu. He has been thrown under the bus and retired from politics.”

Tinubu is a strong supporter of Oshiomhole. Tinubu is said to be eyeing the presidential seat in 2023 and has kicked off process to actualised the dream.
