How Lagos Assembly member Tunde Buraimoh died
The lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Tunde Braimoh, had died. He was aged 60.
Buraimoh’s colleague Victor Akande, a lawmaker representing Ojo Constituency I who confirmed his demise said “It is true that we lost Tunde Braimoh, I could not sleep since 1 am when I learnt about his demise, he was one of those who never toyed with his health”.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Taiwo Fadipe, who also confirmed the death said Buraimoh died after a brief illness.
“He died at a hospital around Ikorodu road. He died overnight,” Fadipe said.
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State, Tunde Balogun, said, “I heard about his death.”
He, however, could not give details about the lawmaker’s death.
Buraimoh, who was the spokesperson of the Lagos State House of Assembly, had been absent from plenary sessions for about two weeks before he died.
Until his death, Braimoh was an active member of the state’s parliament and the chairman of its committee on information.
Braimoh was from the same senatorial district as a late senator, Bayo Osinowo, who represented Lagos East Senatorial District until his death in June.
