Ganduje reshuffles cabinet, redeploys 3 commissioners
The Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has redeployed three commissioners to other ministries in a minor cabinet reshuffle.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Malam Abba Anwar who disclosed this in Kano after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting urged the cabinet members to remain committed to the policy drive of the All Progressives Congress APC-government.
According to the statement, Lawan Musa, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Kano branch has been moved from the Ministry of Housing and Transport to Ministry of Justice, Mahmud Muhammad Dansantsi of the Ministry of Commerce is now Commissioner for Housing and Transport while Ibrahim Mukhtar, who was Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of the State, has been moved to the Ministry of Commerce and industry.
Also, Idris Garba Unguwar Rimi, a newly appointed Commissioner, has been assigned the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
According to the statement, the governor directs them and all other commissioners to continue observing COVID-19 protocols as enunciated by health professionals.
“You should make sure that the protocols of hand washing with soap and running water, use of sanitizer, use of face masks and social distancing are obeyed in your offices and homes,” the statement said.
