Peller to Police: Intensify efforts to apprehend Oko Oloyun’s killers

Lawmaker representing  Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Shina Peller has urged the Nigeria Police Force to intensify efforts at apprehending those who murdered Alhaji Abdul Fatai (Oko Oloyun) Yusuf.

Oko Oloyun a popular trado-medical practitioner was murdered by unknown gunmen along the  Igboora – Eruwa road in Oyo State on Thursday. 

Peller who took to his Instagram page to express condolence to the family of the deceased described the late Abdul Fatai Yusuf as an industrialist, philantropist and employer of labour who will be remembered for his good deeds and love for humanity.

According to Peller: “I received the sad news of the death of Alhaji Abdul Fatai (Oko Oloyun) with sadness and deep shock. His demise is a great tragedy. Alhaji Abdul Fatai was reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen along Iseyin road in Oyo State was the President of the Nigeria Association of Herbal Drugs producers. He was an industrialist, philanthropist and an employer of Labour.

“It’s with deep sorrow in my heart that I first extend my condolence to his immediate family and loved ones. Abdul Fatai (Oko Oloyun) will forever be remembered for his good deeds and immense love for humanity.

“I urge the Nigeria Police Force to intensify efforts at apprehending the perpetrators of this gruesome act. This obnoxious act by certain unscrupulous element shows that we are in dire need of community policing across the country.

“Security of lives and properties is our primary responsibility, as a government, and we must take serious measures urgently to address the state of insecurity in the country now”. Peller added.
