Former Speaker Yakubu Dogara dumps PDP for APC


Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has again dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni who doubles as the acting Chairman of the APC disclosed this after leading Dogara to a meeting with the President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“He is now a member of the APC,” Buni told journalists after the meeting

Dogara, a member of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) served as the 14th Speaker of the House of Representatives.

He currently represents Bogoro/Dass, Nigeria/Tafawa Balewa, Federal constituency of Bauchi State since 2007.

Dogara left the APC for the PDP in 2018.
