Delta Assembly Majority Leader, Tim Owhefere is dead
The Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Tim Owhefere is dead.
He died late night of Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Federal Medical Center, Asaba.
Owhefere, 58, a Fourth term lawmaker, was until his death, the member representing Isoko North Constituency at the State Assembly and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Owhefere was said to have been on oxygen for a week before his death fueling speculations that he died of COVID-19.
The family and the Delta Assembly will officially announce the sad development on Thursday, sources said.
His death has thrown the Isoko Nation into mourning.
However, Owhefere death of suspected COVID-19 has thrown members of the Delta Assembly who reportedly into fears.
It was gathered that some of his colleagues visited him at American Hospital, Asaba where he was first admitted before being transferred to Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.

Recall that the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, had recently recovered from the deadly COVID-19.
The Delta governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, had also tested positive and recovered from the virus.
If speculations are true, Owhefere will become the first major politician in Delta, to have died of coronavirus
